Due to budget cuts and my need for experience, I may inherit the position of the top tech person at a school.
From what I hear, the network they have is completely broken. I may have to re-construct the entire school network. I was thinking of having a centralized system with Linux, firestarter and Dansguardian installed. Every computer on the network needs to be filtered via Dansguardian.
1) What are the approximate specs such a machine would need?
2) What Linux OS would be best for this task?
