I got onto this site via Kaspersky Lab Forums. That site is good as is the product but I had one that was either missed or couldn't be handled by KIS2009. Regardless it could not for the life of me track it down and kill it. I used Sysinternals and Resplendence's rootkit analysers and so on. One KLF member suggested a method using ComboFix and while I am still doing a final scan things look promising.Certainly KAS2009 was compromised as even the disinfection routine would hang. I posted in the KL forum but decided to bit the bullet and try what was suggested. Voila.
I suppose I am a half-baked IT geek but I love my machines. I am learning constantly especially from forums such as this. Glad to be on Board.

Welcome to BC!
If you still have problems with getting rid of the malware, please don't hesitate to post about it, and what you have done so far, in the Am I Infected? Forum.
Regards,
John
