Hi everyone! I'm hoping someone could perhaps assist me with this...

Been helping a friend clean his computer of viruses (Internet Security 2010). But, there's one straggler that's driving me nuts!

An error box pops up stating:

Initiated by NT Authority System DCOM
Server Process Launcher Terminated Unexpectedly

Then, it gives me a one-minute countdown before it restarts. It seems that this only happens when there is a network connection (especially when I try to run/update any type of virus/malware software). I use run>"shutdown -a" to disable
it...but, none of the programs I'm using can find/kill it.

I've been scouring the net looking for a solution, and have come across recommendations to use TDSSKiller. Does this sound right to y'all?

I want to wipe this bad boy clean out of the system and am hoping that someone w/ prior experience in this matter could advise me (before I blow stuff up  ).

Thank you!
