Hey, thanks in advance for any help. I've had a problem recently where when I do a google search and click on a link, it will redirect me back to google instead of the address I clicked on. Also, sometimes for no reason, even when I haven't clicked on a link, a new tab will open and go to some address asking me to fill out a survey of some sort. Here are a couple of the addresses that redirect me to google (there are many):
hxxp://rle822x.cn/NV03rS7L7J6qMxc41417c344f3158ed4e3ce6edc27192e5127g
hxxp://rle822x.cn/taC1kORl6C7QKTu72519bf5410e431631e2bae8b6c19b6ba27k

Here are some of the pop up survey addresses:
hxxp://87.118.120.224/sumen/ch.php?id=9006085.2555-3002&key=7Y7kj8yu9ljXiz8HRoT4kFgl52mk9MV0T2yY6gw0fYc1sD1exkcF42ja31lQ34wt&aff=31863&dt=2010-02-03
hxxp://server2.mediajmp.com/surveys/cpv-index.html?sub=sportsdirectinc.com

Anyways, I have run AVG, malwarebytes, S&D, and adaware and they have removed some things, but I still have this same problem. Based on things I have read, it made me think I might have a rootkit. Any help is appreciated. My DDS file is below with my attach.txt and ark.txt files attached. Thanks again.

Hello,

My name is Syler and I will be helping you to solve your Malware issues. If you have since resolved your issues I would appreciate if you
would let me no so I can close this topic, if you still need help please let me no what issues you are still having, in your next reply.

We apologize for the delay in responding to your request for help. Here at Bleeping Computer we get overwhelmed at times, and
we are trying our best to keep up.

  • Download random's system information tool (RSIT) by random/random from here and save it to your desktop.
  • Double click on RSIT.exe to run RSIT.
  • Click Continue at the disclaimer screen.
  • Once it has finished, two logs will open. Please post the contents of both log.txt (<<will be maximized) and info.txt (<<will be minimized)

  1. Please download GMER from one of the following locations, and save it to your desktop:
    • Main Mirror
This version will download a randomly named file (Recommended)
    • Zip Mirror
This version will download a zip file you will need to extract first. If you use this mirror, please extract the zip file to your desktop.
  2. Disconnect from the Internet and close all running programs, as this process may crash your computer.
  3. Temporarily disable any real-time active protection so your security program drivers will not conflict with gmer's driver.
  4. Double click on Gmer to run it.
  5. Allow the gmer.sys driver to load if asked.
  6. You may see a rootkit warning window, If you do, click No.
  7. Untick the following boxes on the right side of the Gmer screen.
    Sections
    IAT/EAT
    Files
    Show All
  8. Click on and wait for the scan to finish.
  9. If you see a rootkit warning window, click OK.
  10. Push and save the logfile to your desktop.
  11. Copy and Paste the contents of that file in your next post.

Then please post back here with the following:
  • log.txt
  • info.txt
  • Gmer log

Thanks

Syler,

Thanks for your help, unfortunately, I got the "blue screen of death" today and just went ahead and reformatted my hardrive. I had been planning on doing it anyways at a later time just as a clean up, so the timing wasn't convenient, but luckily had everything backed up. I still wish I would have had enough time to run that to see what it was that was on my computer out of curiosity, but oh well.

Thanks for your attempted help anyways, but this is not an issue anymore.
