Hi to all.
Like so many others before me I am joining in search of help with a problem. This seems to be the most knowledgable forum I have found. I doubt if I could ever add anything to help anyone else, but I will certainly try if I can! Thanks and it is good to be here.

Hello and welcome to Bleeping Computer.

Please take the time, to browse the New User Orientation forum, to help familiarize yourself with how the board works.

Also, don't forget to check out the Tutorials.
There's a lot of very useful information, in there.

Good luck
Mark

Having grandkids is God's way of giving you a 2nd chance because you were too busy working your butt off the 1st time around

OK. Since I am new here, I may not be familiar with the etiquette of the forum. I have read the hints and tutorials and think that I am in compliance of site rules for my "help" post. I posted it in the "Am I infected?" forum over a week ago and have had no replies, although the number of views keeps steadily increasing. Am I to assume that no one has any suggestions? I think my post is pretty clear: My Trendmicro found and deleted the threat (according to its report) but I still have no idea on how to fix the damage done to my machine.
I am not trying to be a pain, just curious if there is something else I should have done/do to get one of the talented people on here to help me fix my laptop. With no wireless, it is basically a paperweight to me. Also I do not know how to tell if the threat has been totally eliminated or not. Any help/suggestions on how/where to ask are GREATLY appreciated!
Again, I am not trying to be a jerk, I just want to get my machine up and running again. Thanks.
