Running Win XP Pro SP3 on a Dell Optiplex and got nailed with what appears to be "Bankerfox.a" and it's brethren. Whenever i try to run somnething on the infected PC i get a window that pops up telling me the application is infected and i need to "activate my antivirus protection" which is OBVIOUSLY totally bogus.

The ONLY time i can run ANY program is in safe mode and then as soon as i boot back into regular windows, the virus is back. I ran ABAM AntiMalware, and it removed some infections but then as i said, as SOON as i go back into regular windows, WHAM- it's back.
Any help will be appreciated i'm at wit's end here ...

Sorry for the delay. Forums are quite busy, and sometimes things slip past us. I suspect that the malware is protected by a rootkit. Therefore, I suggest you follow the instructions in ==>This Guide<==.

Once the proper logs are created, then make a NEW TOPIC and post it ==>HERE<==

If you can produce at least some of the logs, please post the new topic. If you cannot produce any logs, then post back here and we will provide you with further instructions.
