I just joined to try to fix my wife's laptop.

I consider myself an advanced computer user since I minored in computer science and have been using computers since I was 5. People frequently come to me when they have computer problems/questions/advice, but I now have one I cannot solve. I might be able to help as well as hopefully solve the problem with my wife's machine.

I have a desktop running Fedora 11, a MacBook from 2006 (which I bought after not being able to fix the recurring blue screen of death problem on my old desktop). My wife's Toshiba A55.

Thanks for letting me join.
