HP Compaq, XP, SP3

My computer is running fine but with an exception. I am not able to select a wallpaper. When I right click on the desktop and select properties, on the "Desktop" tab, the "Browse.." button and the backgrounds selection are greyed out and I am not able to select it. Any one know how to fix this?

You must have administrator privileges to do this.
- Open Start Menu > Run, type cmd and press Enter.
- Type the following exactly and press Enter :
REG ADD HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\ActiveDesktop /v NoChangingWallpaper /t REG_DWORD /d 0 /f
Better copy paste. To paste in the command prompt window, right click on it and select Paste.
