Recently I downloaded some music through Bit torrent and mistakenly opened a virus. Oooops hah. My nortons anti virus program has been detecting the virus, Backdoor.tidserv!gen2 and stopping it on each start up of my computer. I am unsure how to remove this virus. Here is my information.
Thanks,
Jesse

Hello,

I am currently infected with a trojan horse, backdoortidserv!gen2, and iexplore.exe keeps getting detected by my sonar. They are always successfully quarantined on start up. I am running Norton Antivirus version 16.8.0.41. Each time I run a full system scan in safe mode my computer gets shut down. (I am not sure if a full system scan not in safe mode does this as well I will be testing it after I post this.) I also have tried to restore my windows to an earlier boot point but each time I tried a message popped up at the end saying it wasn't fully sucessful because of some system files. I am assuming the virus.

If anyone has any insight on what to do with this issue can you please help me out. Thanks.

Ps. I am running windows vista with the updated security package. If you need any more info please let me know.
