My OS became corrupt but my hard drive is still good, obviously i cant access the hard drive to save the files elsewhere, anyone know a way to take the info off the hard drive when i cant access windows

Note: this is what i get when you don't backup important data.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Brian

Is this a laptop or a desktop?

If it's a desktop remove the hd and place it in another desktop as a slave. Transfer the data to either that machine's hd or a cd.

Or

You can try to repair the op system and hope you don't destroy the data while attempting it.

Try

www.ubcd4win.com

Its a complete data recovery tool. You will need access to a CD burner and another computer where you can "build" the CD.

Once the CD is done, when ran from the boot options, it loads the CD into memory. If the data hasnt been overwritten yet, it has the option to recover it.

Make sure you read all the FAQ's and info regarding this.

Its a great tool, and i used it to recover some data from a laptop as well.
