I have never done this before and it's a little intimidating. I'm new to this and any other forum for that matter. Not sure how it all works and I know there is a protocol for everything so if I do something wrong, please forgive my ignorance. I'm here because I'm having issues with my damn computer. I'm hoping to get some advise as my only alternative is to take the thing out in the yard and bet it to pieces with a baseball bat, which would make me feel a whole lot better but probably isn't the best idea, at least not yet! Anyway, when I logged in for the first time it was suggested that I introduce myself so here I am. Looking forward to learning new things and talking with you.

Hello and welcome to Bleeping Computer.

Please take the time, to browse the New User Orientation forum, to help familiarize yourself with how the board works.

Also, don't forget to check out the Tutorials.
There's a lot of very useful information, in there.
