I don't know how to get an MPEG-4 file off my hard drive.
How do you delete them off your machine? I think the
stubbornness might be related to Nero as the files will play
only with Nero and not with RealPlayer or Windows Media Player.
I went into Nero's control panel and I didn't see an ON/OFF button.
They just refuse to be deleted as you can see in the picture.

Try using this to delete the stubborn files:

Make sure they are not in use by a piece of software that is locking them.

If Unlocker won't work, try LockHunter: http://lockhunter.en.softonic.com/

Also if you have a Live Boot cd for a flavor of linux, boot it up and you can delete anything off the hard drive.

Unlocker worked great, did the job, is now part of my stable and was an excellent suggestion, thanks
