This morning my computer began having troubles and it launched this program. Turns out to be spyware and trojans...

I tried following the directions on bleepingcomputer for removing this program, but Internet Security 2010 will not allow me to run RKILL nor will it let me update my M-BAM.

Is there any other way to get rid of this?

Also, how did I get this in the first place? My work is blocked from alot of sites.. We do share an external Terabyte and access each others documents daily - could that be it? I just want to know so I can avoid this situation in the future!

 Depending on when you downloaded the Malwarebytes..if it was recent it should have defenitions from at least 01/07/2010, if so just run the MB and clean it. If you can use task manager end the process is2010.exe then you should be able to run MB. There is a manual updater as well for malwarebytes you can download as well and manually update MB then run.

It doesn not let me run task mgr, so I cant end processes. However, I did update MBAM last week or so...But it will not get rid of this

Maybe Ill try the manual updater just to be sure, thanks!!!

Hello, this infection deletes a core executable of Malwarebytes' we will need to download a new copy of it.
Follow the steps in the Automated Removal Instructions for Internet Security 2010 from the guide here
Remove Internet Security 2010 (Uninstall Guide)
This should allow you to run MBAM..
Then post the scan log here.

As mentioned by whiteac2k4 above ...
Manually Downloading Updates:
Manually download them from HERE and just double-click on mbam-rules.exe to install. Alternatively, you can update through MBAM's interface from a clean computer, copy the definitions (rules.ref) located in C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Malwarebytes\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware from that system to a usb stick or CD and then copy it to the infected machine.
How do I get help? Who is helping me?For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear....Become a BleepingComputer fan: Facebook
