I've barely scratched the surface of what's here and am already impressed with its promise. My knowledge base is maybe weird; not being in a computer related field I've learned some things "boldly going where I probably shouldn't" so I now know lots more than most of my (very non-computer oriented) friends, but have some huge & basic gaps in what I understand.

More than you wanted to know;) ?

I look forward to lots of reading & learning-

As complex an activity as computing has become, almost every has "gaps" in their understanding; members here spend some free time sharing their areas of experience or expertise with others. We all learn from one another.
