How can I scan a form and then be able to use it as form. Example: Scan Form 1040 and use it several times for several family members.

Just used the 1040 as an example. I have some work forms and borrowed forms from contractors that we work with that I want to do.

Vinny I use PDF Editor version 3.0 is out now!
It's about $80 but is well worth it.
If your scanner produces an image file/picture file you will need to download CutePDF Writer also, it is free google for it.

1 scan form.

2 if scan creates img./picture then right click it and select print.

3 when printer dialog box opens you should be able to drop down printer box and select CutePDF Writer.

4 save that copy to desktop or where you like so you can find it.

5 go to that file you just saved and right click on it and select open with/PDF Editor.

6 once PDF Editor opens it you should be able to add text etc>

PDF editor will allow a trial version so can't hurt to try and see if you like.
It will put watermark on the document in trial mode, but once you see how great it works I'm sure you will purchase.
Works great on all .pdf files to change and edit.
Hope this works for you ? Let me know.

Vinny, no need to purchase a third-party program when your Officejet has the software included that you need. Look for the Integrated OCR (optical character recognition) package. You may not have installed it when you first setup the system. Check the manual and CD(s) that came with the unit.
