I'm a newbie here, so please be gentle. smile.gif
I have a really annoying problem that I cannot seem to deal with and I really do not want to blow my computer away and start over, so I'm hoping someone here can help.

Just before Christmas, I got a virus from somewhere, possibly while I was searching for public domain Chirstmas music mp3s. The virus itself seems to be gone, but along the way, I have picked up a browser hijacker of some sort.
Whenever I click on a link in Google, I end up somewhere else. If I type the address into the address bar or click on a link from an email, it works fine.

I run FreeAVG9 daily and it now always needs to reboot afterwards.
I have run PCTools SpywareDoctor with AntiVirus as well as MalWareBytes AntiMalware.
SpywareDoctor and MBAM typically find and correct issues when I run them (every 2-3 days), but the problem keeps coming back within 24hrs.

I am attaching a HijackThis log.
Please give me a hand with this.

Thanks,
Greynight

Please help. I have a browser hijacker that I cannot seem to get rid of. I have had it for about a month. I run FreeAVG9 daily and it needs to reboot after every scan. I have run PCTools SpywareDoctor with AntiVirus and MalwareBytes AntiMAlware and both have found and fixed several problems, but the hijacker keeps coming back each day. Clicking on links in google go to other sites. Typing addresses into the address bar or clicking links in emails work fine.
