I need a freeware batch renaming program that will remove the last 4 characters from all filenames in a folder, without changing any part of the rest of the names. Just need the last 4 characters removed from each filename.

Does anyone know of one that will do this?

EDIT: nevermind. I see now that the one i have will work. I am being forced to use a tiny laptop at present, and am unable to find a way to delete this post. it may be that there is a quick easy way, but this little laptop is a far cry from my 19 inch viewable screen. :-(
