2002 XP sp3 32bit

When I search under "all files and folders" in Search Companion, it duplicates what it finds, over and over again until I press the stop button. It will list several individually distinctive line items and then list them all over again in the same order, infinitely. What is going on?

Does this for every search.

Nevermind. I figured out a solution, though the cause is still evading me. Case closed.

Glad you figured it out
Would you mind posting your solution so others that might have the same problem will benefit?

Yes, I will be happy to. First, let me say that this blog is very helpful and I am impressed and appreciative of everyone of you that I have come into contact with.

The solution almost sounds to simple. I simply opened Search Companion and set it to "details" under the VIEW tab. Then, under the same VIEW tab, I highlighted "arrange icons by" and selected "name".

It has worked find ever since. I guess something undid my settings to where a specific view was not selected, so it was just relisting everything infinitely since their was no command to do otherwise.
