Error 4450 keeps coming up when I try and burn an audio CD in iTunes or Nero. Strangely enough I can burn the same files as data and everything works out fine, but if I try to burn them as an audio CD the 4450 error comes up everytime.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hey Broni. I gave CDBurnerXp a try and got to 79% the first time before it stopped, then lowered the burn speed as low as it would go (4X) and got to 90% before it stopped again.

Any suggestions as to where to go from here?

I'm not sure...
Were you able to burn music CDs before?

Yeah I used to use Nero, then that started having errors so I burned through iTunes, but eventually that started having the same errors as well.

It says 4450 is the error #, but I haven't had any luck finding a solution to it or pinpointing the exact source of the problem beyond the error number.

It's hard to tell...maybe your burner is on its way out?
Normally CDBurnerXP works in every case, where some other programs are having problems....

Yeah the burner could be on its last legs.

CDBurnerXP definitely made it much further than the others. They were stopping 20%-30% in before, so I thought we were in the clear with CDBurnerXP when it finally got past that point.

Is it weird that it still burns Data CDs fine, just not Audio ones? Or does that not really matter?

Burning music CD requires file conversion on a top of burning, which may cause an extra stress on the burner.
