Last night I was chatting with a friend on yahoo and had a browser up. When I got sleepy, I closed the lid of my laptop (which I use strictly as a desktop) and when I tried to use my computer this afternoon, I was getting an "Internet Security 2010" message that took over my desktop and was trying to get me to buy an anti-virus. I figured it was fake, so I installed Norton and ran a scan. It detected something and removed it. The fake Internet Security scan stopped but there was still something in the task bar. I had been unable to access system restore, or my task manager. I scanned again and again, something was found and deleted. My system required a reboot which I did and I saw my desktop with nothing on it. The computer was still loading and then I got to my welcome screen. I clicked my username and the desktop looked like it was loading but after a few moments, I was immediately logged off and back at the welcome screen.

I have tried rebooting in safe mode and going to the administrator account, but the same thing happens. I do not have a Windows XP disc. What can I do to log in? Right now, I am able to access the internet through IBM rescure and recovery mode.
