Hi all,

New here. Hope somebody can help with my problem.

Last weekend was on weather.com and suddenly everything on my system slowed way down, especially loading anything from the internet. Thinking it might be Comcast, I called their tech support and spent a good hour trying to diagnose a network problem - nothing there. When they suggested rebooting - got the status code 1073741819 error code relating to services.exe which, of course led to recurring reboots.

However, after 2-3 reboots, the system comes up fine (even with status code error) but is still slow. However, there are severe limitations.

When this first happened, I, of course, tried booting into safe mode. Screen came up fine but the keyboard and mouse are blocked, so I cannot scroll to and implement the safe mode. Once the regular boot mode is finished, the mouse and keyboard are fine.

Tried to download and install several previously successful removal tools for the Sasser. Downloads worked, but it became evident that any installation that had to access services.exe failed at that point. Tried using external USB portable drives to load software - all USB ports except mouse and keyboard are blocked.

It seems like anything that requires accessing the hard drive or internal systems is running really slow and I have a very fast computer. Internet access doesn't seem compromised unless the site requires system access.

I'm running out of options and hope that someone here can help. The Hijack this scan file is copied below.

Thanks in advance for any help,
Dennis
