My brother has a virus/malware that keeps directing him to laptopantivirus.net site and I have searched here and cant find anything named that, does anyone know what this is and what recommendation I can give him for removal without bringing his pc here?

Thanks,

I just got the same virus, from opening a torrent file that was actually a trojan.

Google "laptopantivirus.net removal" and you can find instructions.

You'll have to boot into Windows Safe Mode with Networking, which will allow your PC to function enough to perform the removal instructions.

However, if you are running Windows Restore, you can just restore to a previous WORKING state, which is what I did.
Windows Restore can be triggerred from SAFE mode, it will ask you if you want to boot into Safe mode or Restore to a previous state.

Good luck.

My concern is after google I see a free scan and pay to remove, its probably the virus originators? And rolling back doesnt seem like a permanet deletion of the virus, Thanks for advise is there anymore out there please.
