Hi Everyone,

In light of the most recently announced security flaw in IE, I am considering finally making the switch to Firefox but before I do, I would like to know if I can easily export the favorites I have spent years accumulating in IE to Firefox.

Does anyone know if that is something one can do?

I was also hoping someone would be so kind as to tell me what add-ons I should use for firefox that won't slow anything down.

One more thing, I cannot find the system requirements for Firefox on their webpage, does anyone know what they are? Mostly, does it require SP3 for XP?

Thank you for your help

You can export/import favorites following this manual: http://kb.mozillazine.org/Import_bookmarks
NOTE. If you haven't installed Firefox yet, it'll import IE favorites during installation (see above link).
You can also use this Firefox add-on: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/668 and you even don't have to export/import anything.

Cool, thank you Broni, I will check out those links. I am happy to know that my favorites can be used in Firefox and that it will do it for me when I install it. Thanks again.
