Hi, David here. Since David was taken on the site went with a set of letters that for my id Dlttlrr. I am new to the site and have joined today because one of my computers is performing strangely and from looking at this web site and others believe I may be infected with something - but that is for another forum. Live in South Carolina and consider myself to have an average understanding of computer operations. A little better than the basics but no where close to understanding the behind the scenes operations of the OS. I am in my late forties with a wife and 2 teenagers that are always downloading stuff which is the challenge with protecting computers. Run a home network with several computers (desktops and laptops) with either XP home (with up to date service pack )or Vista 32 (with up to date service packs). McAfee protects all the computers and keep Malwarebytes (free version) on them and run it periodically for added protection. Keep my data backed up frequently.

Thanks David

Hello David and welcome to Bleeping Computer.

Please take the time, to browse the New User Orientation forum, to help familiarize yourself with how the board works.

Also, don't forget to check out the Tutorials.
There's a lot of very useful information, in there.

Having grandkids is God's way of giving you a 2nd chance because you were too busy working your butt off the 1st time around
Do not send me PMs with problems that should be posted in the forums. Keep it in the forums, so everyone benefits
