Hey! I hope everyone is doing well. :flowers:

I recently discovered this site and am amazed at all the forum topics. I'll definitely have to set aside some time to check them out. One thing I noticed are all the Windows and Linux topics. I've been considering what type of computer to buy for my next laptop. At first, I was thinking Mac, just because I'd never had one. However, a friend pointed out that I should consider Linux, since it'd be more "me". My friend is a physics major, and I'm an engineer, so I guess he just thinks that Macs are for people who are not computer savvy - or something that like. A lot of people I work with use Linux, so it'd make sense to be more familiar with it.

Anyway, it's great to be here!!!! ttyl

The Windows OS is not the only and last word in computing, and there are good alternatives depending on your computer skills and needs. Welcome to BC!
