on my grandparents viao vgn-ns10l the wireless wont work properly - is there any known problems with the wireless and drivers of this?

to clarify - the wireless switch is on and i can connect with the lan cabe. i can not, however, connect to the wireless router - it claims to not be able to detect the wireless router or that the wireless router is unavailable.

have you looked in "device manager" to see any signs of trouble?

start > type: device manager into search box hit enter, click the + sign next to "network adapters" is there any warning signs next to your wifi adapter?
right click it "properties" tab does it say "this device is working properly"? you can "update driver software"

can you connect another pc to the router?

good luck
