I have a 27 inch Dell screen and with Vista when I opened a page in IE8 it would fill the screen but since upgrading to Windows 7 I have to manually expand the page to fit the screen. It is annoying!

Right-click your IE shortcut/icon and click "Properties". Under the "Shortcut" tab, there is a drop-down menu named "Run". Choose "Maximized". Apply. OK.

Done!!

thanks KN. I did what you advised but naturally because I am dealing with a computer it wanted to have the last word. Maximised didn't work but Normal window did! Go figure...
