Hello Everyone. Glad to be here. I guess I will take a moment to introduce myself.

I have been working in tech support for the last three years and combating malware is one of my favorite things to do. I don't know why but it's gratifying to clean up a machine and watch the user's joyful reaction.

I have my usual tactics of running fully updated deep scans with Malwarebytes, Superantispyware and Vipre Rescue. Doing this will remove the lions share of even the most terrible infections most of the time. Believe me, I have users who engage in virus-requesting activities all the time! :trumpet:

However, i've noticed lately that sometimes even after I remove viruses that the internet will no longer connect. I've tried reinstalling drivers, running winsock, adjusting proxy settings, resetting firewall to default, changing TCP/IP connections to automatic but with no results. That's what prompted me to create an account here. It looks like you have many other uses

I am also interested in attending the bleeping computer malware course. I tried to sign up but all classes are full. Guess i'll try back later. :flowers:
Never pay for malware protection. All you need can be had for free. Don't be a sucker.

Hello and welcome to Bleeping Computer.

Please take the time, to browse the New User Orientation forum, to help familiarize yourself with how the board works.

Also, don't forget to check out the Tutorials.
There's a lot of very useful information, in there.

Openings occur on a haphazard basis, so you need to check often

Having grandkids is God's way of giving you a 2nd chance because you were too busy working your butt off the 1st time around
