hi -

stopping back in to see if anyone can help me with this problem.

i am using xp media center and watch alot of tv on my computer.

i had to recover my hard drive early last year and since that time i
havn't been able to load program guide data.

i can still watch tv - but can't record things.

it tells me to check my internet connection - and there is no problem there.

any ideas ??

thanks !

If it's a MCE system...it's hard to say. On a regular system, I would also go with the uninstall/reinstall of software.

You might try running the sfc /scannow command or doing a repair install of XP (probably overkill but I don't know how MCE installs break out the capture capability.)

I assume, your TV card came with capturing program, which controls recording, for instance.
Reinstall program.
