Clicking on a search link out of Google redirects me to shopping sites and offers for virus scanners. Tried on IE7 and it does the same thing. Ran spybot and AdAware with no results.Symantec Endpoint found "JS.SecurityToolFraud.B" and quarentined it. The following is the Hijackthis log: Logfile of Trend Micro HijackThis v2.0.3 (BETA)

Hello schrock.ben,

Please download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware from one of these places:
http://download.cnet.com/Malwarebytes-Anti...&tag=button
http://www.besttechie.net/mbam/mbam-setup.exe

Double Click mbam-setup.exe to install the application.

* Make sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
* If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
* Once the program has loaded, select "Perform Quick Scan", then click Scan.
* The scan may take some time to finish,so please be patient.
* When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
* Make sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
* When disinfection is completed, a log will open in Notepad and you may be prompted to Restart.(See Extra Note)
* The log is automatically saved by MBAM and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM.
* Copy&Paste the entire report in your next reply along with a fresh HijackThis log.

Extra Note:
If MBAM encounters a file that is difficult to remove, you will be presented with 1 of 2 prompts, click OK to either and let MBAM proceed with the disinfection process,if asked to restart the computer, please do so immediately.

Thanks,
tea
Please make a donation so I can keep helping people just like you.
Every little bit helps! :)

Thanks....let me know when it happens again, if it does. Is it only in Google? Do you use Firefox at all? One last thing.....in the HijackThis log, please look at the very bottom at the 024. Did you set that yourself?

Ok I will let you know if it happens again. Right now it is working correctly.

It has only been in Google while using Chrome and IE7. I have not tried it in firefox.

As for 024 I did set that myself. It is part of Microsofts Experience pack for tablets. I use it to write and keep up with my calendar on the desktop.
