My Dell laptop got infected with "Desktop Defender 2010" y'day.. I immediately ran the McAfee but computer crashed.. now whenever I turn it on in normal/safe mode, after logging in, it gives me blank screen. I took it to Best Buy because its still under one year warranty and they have quoted $130 to get rid of the virus and most probably another $99 to back up the files if the windows needs to be installed again.. Is there anything I can do?

I would apprecaite the help. Thanks
