Hello everyone, i have a serious problem. Lately, i have been keeping a close watch on my internet usage and i have observed that my upload part of the usage is alarmingly more than my download part. I still have 12 days left and someone has used up 1 gig of my net from which are 2 gigs left. (20gig net of optus, 15 days left 17gigs i used, 3gb left, 12 days left, 2gb left). Today someone used up 500mb of upload. I don't do torrents so i know i haven't left a file somewhere which is causing this. I installed norton 360, latest version today but still usage is being used. I have disabled my remote help as well but to no avail. I also turned off wireless connection on router.

Please help as optus charges pretty hard on excess usage.

Hi 7 Up!
Welcome to Bleeping Computer.
I'm maranatha and I will be handling your log to help you get cleaned up. I am a student here at BC so all my posts will be checked by one of our experts, so there may be a slight delay between posts.

Please do this.

Download DDS and save it to your desktop from here or here or here.
Disable any script blocker, and then double click dds.scr to run the tool.
  • When done, DDS will open two (2) logs:
  1. DDS.txt
  2. Attach.txt
Save both reports to your desktop post the contents of the DDS.txt log. Save the other report incase I need to look at it later.

Did you install this?
InternetLogger

Thanks
maranatha
