A few days ago, my computer started redirecting me to my Yahoo mail whenever I opened up a new window, start Explorer, or randomly. Also, on some pages, banners and ads will not be displayed. When I am on my homepage, Yahoo, the logo and the ads are not shown, but show the red x mark. When I am using hotmail, the banners on the side are not shown and they say 'The page cannot be displayed'. In the past 2 days I have run Yahoo Anti-Spy, Spybot-Search & Destroy, A Squared, Bazooka, CWShredder, and Trend Micro Anti-Spyware. I have sygate firewall (free edition) and spyware blaster. I also have TweakNow RegCleaner and CCleaner, which I also used. All of these programs are up to date. I also have a trial version of Webroot Spy Sweeper, but I never could finish the scan. When I used the scans, I got rid of the problems, but my computer is still messed up. I am not sure what is wrong, but I think it has something to do with PowerReg Scheduler, even though I removed it using Yahoo Anti-Spy. (On accident, I allowed it, thinking it was part of one of my programs' updates.)

Here is my HijackThis! log:

Hi

You've a QHOSTS Trojan infection.

1. Download SYSCLEAN.COM from Trend Micro site:
http://www.trendmicro.com/ftp/products/tsc/sysclean.com

2. Create a temporary folder and copy SYSCLEAN.COM into this folder
NOTE: This temporary folder should be created on a local or mapped drive

3. Download the latest pattern file (as in lpt803.zip where the last 3 digits indicate a virus pattern number) from Trend Micro site:
http://www.trendmicro.com/download/viruspattern.asp

Extract the downloaded ZIP pattern file into the created folder

REBOOT into SafeMode: Starting your computer in Safe mode, use the F8 method

4. Run the System Cleaner by double-clicking the executable file SYSCLEAN.COM in Windows Explorer.

5. Close all applications running on your system (including any other antivirus you may have - Norton, McAfee, etc.)

6. Make sure "Automatically Clean Infected Files" is checked and click "Scan"

7. REBOOT normally.

Post a new HijackThis log please.

Thank you for the help, but the program had errors when scanning my computer. Now, both problems are fixed...I do not know how, but I think it has something to do with the uninstallation of Spy Sweeper.
