Hi,

Have a Dell 6400 bought in 2007. Laptop screen is very very dark, hard to see. Bought a new battery and fully charged the battery. Problem did not go away. Could it be video drivers? Time for a new laptop? Trying to see what the problem is. Any suggestions.

Thanks,

Jeff

Take it to a local computer repair shop, not Geek Squad
You need a backlight and/or an inverter board

Having grandkids is God's way of giving you a 2nd chance because you were too busy working your butt off the 1st time around
