hi, last week my roommate crashed my computer. when i booted it, i was unable to get online with internet explorer(or opera), but can use mozilla. my antivirus & spyware programs can't update, nor can adobe etc. i looked into reinstalling ie, & found a suggestion of running a scan using the run command in the start menu, SFC /scannow. when i did that, it said i needed to insert the sp3 professional cd. i ordered from amazon but it turned out not to be the professional one which i ordered from microsoft yesterday, i will not receive that for 1-3 weeks. any thoughts, or do i just need to wait for the cd?
