Tried to read as much as I can to rid my pc of whatever it is that is infecting it before I asked but no luck. It's a pc running XP Pro.

I was running a scan with Spybot and that must have triggered NOD32 which found a trojan but could not remove it and it kept reproducing itself over and over again when it was trying to quarantine it. I couldn't update NOD either and have not been able to for a few days before this.

I downloaded and tried to run MBAM but it shows for 2 or 3 seconds then shuts down, RootRepeal will not run in File search mode and will freeze the pc. if tried. Downloaded updated and ran SuperAnti Spyware and it found a trojan which it quarantined then deleted but the problem continues. Tried Rkill but the problem is still there and out of desperation (I know I shouldn't have) ran ComboFix and lost my desktop after the reboot which I regained with the aid of the XP CD.

I would be grateful for any help, thanks in advance.
