Hello, I just want to say thanks in advance for any and all help which I recieve here. People who donate their time like this should truly be appreciated!

I have been looking for a job and one of my tools has been the internet. Just two days ago I went to log onto Select Staffing dot com and once I did BOOM BAM POW BANG I was instantly infected with tons of stuff, including Internet Security 2010. I instantly used my yahoo anti spyware scan and managed to clean out a lot of crap. But there was still bugs. I rebooted. Scanned again, cleared out another trojan and then i did a system restore back one day. It really calmed my os down. I thought I was out of the woods, but it soon became apparent that I wasnt.

Throughout the process I kept getting pop ups saying Warning! Your computer is infected click here to resolve. Or Danger your computer has been taken over by outside control and further delay could corrupt your operating system, files, etc. Not in the same wording but you get the picture. It was trying to get me to click this or click that and i refused.

Anyway, I also ran Roguekill, Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, Microsoft® Windows® Malicious Software Removal and Microsoft Security Essentials. Each of these tools cleared out more infections and bugs.

But I know there are still more invaders active. One propblem im having is whenever I do a google search, and then click on one of the result links, I get redirected to sites like Leapfish, smartbizsearch, uplift search, searchfindsite, etc etc. It even happens with the Yahoo search engine. I have even been redirected to Youtube once.

Another problem is that information I will type on a page filling in fields, once I click on a link to check something then come back to that page, the stuff that I had typed will be gone. These are sites that I use many many times and that never happened before. The stuff you typed always remained.

The time it takes to open pages and websites have also slowed.

Just for the record when I ran the RootRepeal a box popped up "Error - Invalid PE image found!"

Not sure where to find the Kaspersky scan.

Hello and welcome to Bleeping Computer

We apologize for the delay in responding to your request for help. Here at Bleeping Computer we get overwhelmed at times, and we are trying our best to keep up. Please note that your topic was not intentionally overlooked. Our mission is to help everyone in need, but sometimes it takes just a little longer to get to every request for help. No one is ignored here.

If you have since resolved the original problem you were having, we would appreciate you letting us know. If not please perform the following steps below so we can have a look at the current condition of your machine.

If you have not done so, include a clear description of the problems you're having, along with any steps you may have performed so far.

Upon completing the steps below another staff member will review and take the steps necessary with you to get your machine back in working order clean and free of malware.

If you have already posted a DDS log, please do so again, as your situation may have changed.
Use the 'Add Reply' and add the new log to this thread.

Thanks and again sorry for the delay.

We need to see some information about what is happening in your machine. Please perform the following scan:
  • Download DDS by sUBs from one of the following links. Save it to your desktop.
  • Double click on the DDS icon, allow it to run.
  • A small box will open, with an explaination about the tool. No input is needed, the scan is running.
  • Notepad will open with the results.
  • Follow the instructions that pop up for posting the results.
  • Close the program window, and delete the program from your desktop.
Please note: You may have to disable any script protection running if the scan fails to run. After downloading the tool, disconnect from the internet and disable all antivirus protection. Run the scan, enable your A/V and reconnect to the internet.

Information on A/V control HERE
regards,
schrauber
