DirectX Problem

First I have install XP Pro, because I don't have a direct install for Windows XP Service Pack. Then I upgrade via XP2 disc.
It working with sound, when ever I start a game it doesn't have directx installed.
Can someone here help?

Go to Start/Run, type dxdiag, post your Direct X version.

The Dispaly tab should list your video card, post the name.

Which game are you trying to play?

I fixed the directx.
But now I can not installed the program that are part of nividia. They said I do not have windows installer.
I did
msconfig
regedit
safe mode
search for windows installer.
You name it.

To find out if you have Windows Installer, go to Start/Run in the open box type msiexec. You should get a window listing version and details. If not you can get it at Windows Installer 4.5 Redistributable.

You might need to change the services startup properties. Have a look at;
