I am running Windows XP with Sophos Anti-Virus, Zone Alarm (free version) firewall and on demand Spybot Search and Destroy. All programs are kept up to date with latest patches / virus definitions.
My sophos anti virus keeps popping up windows warning of spyware for files located in
C:\Documents and Settings\[username]\Local Settings\Temp\[any number].tmp
the file name varies from 1.tmp upwards to so far 43.tmp
I have tried to clean up using Sophos but all attempts fail.
I then use Sypbot Search and Destroy which processes through and recommends running during start up to clean everything up.
I let this run and it reports no problems after reboot.
My daily full scan with Sophos then shows I am again infected with several versions of the n.tmp file again
how can I get rid of this persistent little malware bug
