I have my network card to share the connection but soon I will have no need for this because i am going to put the xbox360 on its own connection, but now if i plug in a cat5 cable this laptop will not get a wired connection how do I reset these settings so i can get wired and wireless again?

Look in your connections and see if any are bridged. Did you setup ICS? I've never disassembled a shared connection. But if the wired and wireless are bridged, there should be a Network Bridge in your connections and if you delete it, that should un-bridge the connections.

Hope this helps thumbup.gif

when I turn on the xbox360 the local area connection becomes active but none of the boxes that say share are checked.. when I get the wireless bridge set up I will just delete the connection and In the worst case just reinstall the hardware and drivers ect.... sound about right? I been hearing that the real fun begins with trying to get 2 wireless routers to talk to each other... lol alright it is my wireless connection that says shared, so I just uncheck those boxes, the tutorial that I followed to set up this wired bridge was to the point and did not talk about undo's and I did this along time ago

Yes you can do uninstall/reinstalls.

Getting 2 wireless routers that are different makes and models is a little more difficult. This site has links to the different ways to do it. You want the Client/Client bridge section =)
