Every time i enter a topic into any search engine it gives me a list of relevant web sites but when I click on one of these I get directed to a totally random website. The only way is to copy and paste the address into the address bar.recently had the antivirus plus Virus which I finally got rid of it using the Malwarebyte download but now this problem has occurred, not sure if it's connected. I have scanned my pc with my anti virus and malwarebyte again and it is showing no viruses detected. Any suggestions greatly welcome.

no new toolbars. just cant understand why . seems like i keep being directed to smaller search engines but its not constant. occassionally i can get the web page that i click on. any more ideas anyone. pleeeeaaasssee.......

this is exactly the same problem i have. surely someone can help. i also recently have just removed the antivirus plus virus.

Have any toolbars installed?

I just spent a day dealing with someone's infected system, with many of the infections associated with toolbars and programs installed dealing with torrents.
