I have installed on my Desktop a Hauppauge 950Q USB TV Tuner.
I have set up a Library for Recorded TV, and named it My Recorded TV.
Ever since then when i do a backup i get this message

Backup encountered a problem while backing up file C:\Windows\system32\config\systemprofile\My Recorded TV. Error:(The system cannot find the file specified. (0x80070002))

I naviagte to where that file is located, and there is nothing there. How can i find what file i need to have replaced?

I did a search turned up this

http://www.bing.com/search?q=Backup+encoun...amp;FORM=IE8SRC

I have not started to record any TV yet, as i cannnot pick up a digital signal in a brick building where i live. I am going to Subscribe to Comcast in the future, i will call them next week.

I got this same error only it was "My Virtual Machines" instead of "My Recorded TV". I went to that address and created the file manually. Didn't get the error anymore (it could now back it up). I'm not sure why this happens, but that is the easiest way to fix it (create the file it wants).

I hope that helps.

I think keyboardninja zeroed in on the problem. The application does not have admin privileges required to create a new folder, so it fails. try creating the folder manually and see if it works then.

That seemed to do the trick. I just created a folder named My Recorded TV. Ran the backup and it worked just fine.
