on a toshiba notebook, i was trying to rid my computer of a system defender virus. But i tried to download avg, which did not activate, spyware doctor, which would not actitivate. Then I tried the virus system protection offered by Charter Cable. when I struck the download key, the computer started rebooting itself. I tried the safe mode, and the other options including the normal one. but nothing works to stop the reboot process. The only thing else I have been able to do is open the PhoenixBios Setup Utility. I know I need to get rid of the virus, but need to get the system to stop rebooting. First time user
