Hello,

Going to jump from a 19 inch widescreen to a 23-24 inch. I have a few questions as I've been out of the "monitor hunt" for a long time.

Besides the normal sort of work and browsing, I stream video and game a lot as well.

As for the video card that will be running it, I've got a GTX 260.

I've been looking at several stores, the average specs seem to be 1000:1 contrast ratio and 5 ms refresh rate. Is it worth looking for a 2 ms refresh or is 5 ms enough?

Are there any other concerns to be aware of, particular brands to avoid?

Thanks for any pointers..
