Worm.Win32.Netsky infection

Hi, I have suspected for several days that I have some malware infection. I have Malwarebytes and ran several scans. The first scan turned up 5 items, which were removed. An immediate rescan found nothing. Two days later, still suspecting I was infected, I updated Malwarebytes and performed another scan. It turned up 32 items, which were promptly dealt with. Another rescan found nothing. Yet I still had symptoms of malware/adware on my system. The most telling sign was that I would occasionally get redirected to miscellaneous adsites while browsing online on any site. Another symptom was that, in one instance, all of the icons on my desktop lit up and my screen flickered in and out a couple of times.

Finally, when starting up my computer today, I received an ominous message stating: Worm.Win32.Netsky detected on your computer

My desktop background has been replaced by a green field, with a message in the center that my computer has been infected.

Without my permission, new "spyware" and "security" programs have been installed and activated, and I am being prevented from using some resources, such as Task Manager.

Hi,

I really hope Avira didn't detect/delete the component loaded under userinit, because since Avira doesn't restore the userinit value in the registry, it may cause a log-in log-off loop.

Anyway,

* Please download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware from Here

Double Click mbam-setup.exe to install the application.
  • Make sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
  • If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
  • In case you already used MBAM previously, please update it before proceeding with the scan. To do this, click the "Update" tab and click the "Check For updates" button.
  • Once the program has loaded and updates were downloaded, select "Perform Quick Scan", then click Scan.
  • The scan may take some time to finish,so please be patient.
  • When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
  • Make sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
  • When disinfection is completed, a log will open in Notepad and you may be prompted to Restart.(See Extra Note)
  • The log is automatically saved by MBAM and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM.
  • Copy&Paste the entire report in your next reply along with a fresh HijackThis log.
Extra Note:
If MBAM encounters a file that is difficult to remove,you will be presented with 1 of 2 prompts,click OK to either and let MBAM proceed with the disinfection process,if asked to restart the computer,please do so immediatly.
