Has anyone ever replaced their Ipod battery? I have an old 40g Ipod Photo and I know how to change the battery, I'm just looking for a viable source for them.

Any suggestions are surely welcome.

Seems like everyone sells the kit, not just the battery

G-Man, Thanks for the heads up. I had already checked on Milliamp and decided to order from them on your recommendation. They were exceptionally nice to work with and the battery is on its way. I'll let you know the outcome.

I know how to replace the battery and don't expect any problems. It's a major victory for me NOT to have to deal with Apple, not to mention much cheaper.

Thanks again for your input, G-Man. I changed the battery with no problem at all and it works like a charm. Th only hiccup was actually "unplugging" the old battery, which was a little stiff, but I just had to take my time. The whole process took about 15 minutes.

Oh, Milliamp will sell the kit or just the battery (for 4 or 5 dollars less.)

Thanks again
Tom
