Is Combofix compatible with Windows 7? I'm having some issues with hibernating, not responding, etc. and Combofix was highly recommended but I'm seeing a few posts on sites saying that it shouldn't be used with Win7. Any info is greatly appreciated. THanks,

Combofix is a powerful tool that should only be used under the supervision of a trained technician. It is not used for casual bug fixes. Also, as of now, the link to download it is down because the author found a bug in the program that will cause some systems to not boot. See here.

You need to find other methods to fix your problems.

Everything related to ComboFix that the author will allow to be discussed in open forums is here: ComboFix usage, Questions, Help? - Look here

System Requirements: Combofix currently only works with Windows 2000/XP/Vista/Windows 7 (32-bit).

Any further discussion of ComboFix should be in this forum: AntiVirus, Firewall and Privacy Products and Protection Methods

However understand that there is little that is allowed to be discussed, even in that forum.

Yes ComboFix is available as of this post. However it should not be used by those not trained in it's use and only when instructed to do so by a helper.
