Thanks both. First of all its not in games. I installed Flight Simulator a couple of days ago and could not find that until someone suggested to try games and I was OK for that.
Nothing comes up when I put Black Widow or Speedlink in start search. I did manage to get program files up and found Speedlink but it said the folder is empty. Oh woe am I.

hi,,,, index the C: drive and do the search again,,, type indexing into search box,,,, hit enter,,, click modify and put a check mark next to the C: drive and apply,,, then try search again also try an advanced search,,,, press the windows key and F on your keyboard,,, in advanced window click the advanced search drop down top right corner,,, then use the search filters to specify your search,,,, also take a look in programs and features for the program to see if it installed,,, type this into search box too "programs and features"
good luck.

Yes thanks I have tried reinsalling but then I get a window asking me if I want to modify repair or remove which I guess means the program is in there somewhere. The window I get up from the installation disk has Driver Get Adobe Acrobat and manual. There isnt another disc is there?

Without wishing to sound belittling, I'd suggest reading the manual, if you are just wanting to set up/test the functions of the controller.

Thanks Helen
This post of course started when after installation I had no way of opening the program. Still cant find anything.
A couple of new points from this end. As suggested in FAQ, last one, How to check game port settings. In device manager Sound Video and Game controller only 2 come up Creatic etc and Realtex.etc Nothing else.

Game controllers when I plug in the the Black Widow it shows up but when I click on Properties ( for the sake of it !)a window comes up saying Rundll 32 has stopped working.

When the Black Widow is plugged in and I try to get Flight Simulater up I get a window saying Microsoft Flight Simulater has stopped working and the same message comes up wnen the FS is on and I plug the Black Widow in usb . Hope Im making sense or if this helps!
