I have not used my Internet Explorer for a while, it has been updated to Version 8.

I have not received Windows Updates for awhile so I went to check and opened I.E.

But the page will not display, I used the Google search and got to the Windows Update document page but that is it.

No progress in any direction and have used the Diagnose commection Problem, and it does not detect a problem.

I don't know how to solve this, suggestions will be appreciated.

Did you try to uninstall IE8?
It'll revert to IE7. See, if that works.
I assume, you're with XP?

In XP, it has to be in Add\Remove. Double check, please.

If IE7 works fine, I'd simply hide IE8 update, so it won't bother you anymore: http://www.ehow.com/how_5168789_hide-updat...windows-xp.html

OK, . . I hope I ain't bein a hassle, but that is for updates arriving, . . I think, I already have them installed so I think I will just un-install them along with I.E. 8.

I really only use I.E. to keep my W. Updates coming, cause I think that is how its done, . . anyway I get the updates delivered and I choose to install them from this point I will not install any updates for 8 cause I won't have it.

Thanks for you time and efforts, much appreciated.

I think I will just un-install them along with I.E. 8

Leave other updates alone, just uncheck any update regarding IE.
...and no, you're not a pain
