I keep on getting a window installer pop up with the following message of "Search Setting 1.2.2" every time I attempt to search my computer by clicking on Icons from the desktop or from the start menu such as "My computer".

Help please.

Never mind. I was able to get rid of this malware. It was so annoying. I am noting what I did for anyone else who gets this problem of removing Search Setting 1.2.2.

1. open Task Manager, Processes tab and look for anything called "searchsettings" - end process

2. Open control panel - add/remove software - search for any files called "searchsettings" and uninstall
